As previously announced, the 2015 season will be shorted due to the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, however the duration of the season will span through September as the league will take a 12-day break while group stage games are being played in Canada.
For the third-consecutive year, the Flash will open the season with two games on the road, starting season facing Seattle Reign FC on April 12 before completing the West Coast trip at Portland Thorns FC on April 18.
The Flash will open the 2015 home season on May 2 in Rochester against long-time rival, the Boston Breakers. Hometown fans will get their first glimpse of the defending NWSL Champions on May 8 when FC Kansas City travels to Sahlen’s Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
That game will be the first game of a home-and-home series with the Blues, as WNY travels to Swope Soccer Village just six days later. The Flash have three home-and-home series throughout the season: first against Kansas City, versus the Reign in July and later with the Chicago Red Stars in August.
The month of July features a total of four home games for Western New York, including a matchup with former Flash midfielder Carli Lloyd and the Houston Dash on July 25. The team then hits the road for four-straight games to start August before closing out the month in Rochester against the Red Stars.
The Flash wrap up the regular-season with a marquee opponent, as the Thorns return to Sahlen’s Stadium on September 4.
Information on individual tickets, mini packs and other promotions will be announced at a later date. Season tickets are currently available at wnyflash.com or by calling the Flash Front Office at (716) 655-PLAY or the Sahlen’s Stadium Box Office at (585) 454-KICK.
